Welcome to the “Garden of Andalusia”

To describe the fascination and beauty of Estepona in a few sentences is a challenge. If you ask friends at home, the former fishing and neighboring town of the fashionable Marbella is rather unknown. Speaking with residents, the enthusiasm for the new hotspot on the Costa del Sol can literally be felt in every word. Within the last six years, the quiet seaside resort has become a popular holiday destination for tourists from all over the world. The city centre has been lovingly restored and offers exquisite restaurants, small boutiques and jewellery shops as well as charming cafés that invite you to stay. It seems as if none of the white alleyways has been without fragrant flower arrangements – it is not without reason that Estepona is called the “Garden of Andalusia” throughout the country. Until late in the evening you can enjoy the Mediterranean lifestyle, the extraordinary cordiality of the people and a special authenticity that Estepona has never really lost despite all modernity and hospitality.

Culture, Lifestyle & Sea: A life full of life!

Especially in the summer months there is almost no evening in Estepona that is not celebrated. From the summer solstice festival on 23 June to the impressive Ferias and the traditional fishermen’s festival “Virgen del Carmen” on 16 July, locals and tourists celebrate together. The city’s cultural programme is among the most ambitious in Andalusia and has something to suit every taste – whether theatre and concerts in the Teatro Auditorio Felipe VI, open-air events in the Parque San Isidro de los Pedregales, chess tournaments on the Paseo Marítimo, a visit to the bullring or the glass Botánico-Orquidario with its approximately 8,000 species of orchids. Estepona celebrates life – every day.

The beaches of the “New Golden Mile” are among the most beautiful in the area. Sun lovers can discover a new oasis with various highlights and offers practically every day. While in the renowned Laguna Village there is an idyllic beach next to stylish restaurants and boutiques, the spacious main beach of Estepona offers plenty of space for the whole family and water sports enthusiasts. Numerous smaller stretches of coastline provide plenty of variety along the unique Mediterranean Sea. For golf lovers, there are numerous renowned golf clubs in the immediate vicinity with views of the sea and beautiful natural landscapes. Who looks for the city life, finds at the yacht harbours of Puerto Banús or Sotogrande well-known world-wide as well as in the picturesque city centres of Marbella and Malaga numerous Shopping Malls, shopping arcades, elevated restaurants and attractive leisure offers.
